23 Hillside Ct

Rare Berkeley home! 23 Hillside Court showcases the grace and refinement of a bygone era. Designed by Walter H. Parker for the Hall family, this traditional early 1900s home is located at the end of a quiet street situated among stately oaks, fruit trees, and flowering plants. A large front porch and generous foyer lead to a living room detailed with coffered ceilings, tall wainscoting, and a decorative balustrade made from warm, natural stained wood paneling. A graceful staircase leads to four airy bedrooms and two baths. Downstairs, the spacious living room, formal dining room, office, kitchen, and half-bath retain all the elegantly designed original details of the period. High ceilings and large picture windows throughout frame vistas of the natural surroundings. Minutes to UC Berkeley, and close to Claremont, Elmwood, and Rockridge, Express SF bus, and BART.
